Digital product passport

Starting in 2024, the European Union will implement new regulations requiring almost all products sold in the EU to have a Digital Product Passport (DPP). This initiative, part of the Ecodesign Regulation, aims to improve transparency in product value chains by providing comprehensive information on the origin, materials, environmental impact, and disposal recommendations for each product. The DPP is designed to close the gap between consumer demands for transparency and the current lack of reliable product data.
